After graduating from DeKalb High School, Jacob pursued his academic endeavors at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI), where he earned a Master's degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Public Safety Management. His thirst for knowledge and dedication to his studies propelled him to excel, laying a solid foundation for his future legal career.

Jacob's pursuit of legal excellence led him to Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, where he distinguished himself academically, graduating magna cum laude. During his time at McKinney, Jacob honed his legal skills and deepened his understanding of the law, preparing himself to serve as an effective advocate for his clients.

Throughout his educational journey, Jacob supplemented his academic pursuits with practical experience, interning and working at the Marion County Prosecutor's Office for an impressive 6.5 years. This invaluable experience provided him with firsthand exposure to the complexities of the legal system and further fueled his passion for advocating on behalf of others.

In 2016, Jacob embarked on a new chapter in his personal life, marrying his beloved Leah. Together, they have built a loving family with two sons, and their household is completed by their cherished companions, a dog named Archie and a cat named Willow.

Beyond his legal career and family life, Jacob is a devoted sports enthusiast, passionately supporting Manchester United in soccer, the New York Yankees in baseball, and the Indianapolis Colts in football. He also finds joy in outdoor activities such as golfing, participating in local soccer leagues, hunting, and fishing.

Despite his busy schedule, Jacob remains deeply committed to giving back to his community. He serves as a board member for the DeKalb County Humane Society, reflecting his compassionate nature and dedication to animal welfare.
